Normandy is worth a discovery !
The Pays d'Auge ("the country of the feeding trough's" because, it was originally livestockbreeding) is hiding many treasures which you will discover at your stay. Gastronomy, you best start with the Cidre/Calvados- and the Cheeseroute. Small and big producers are happy to show you around. Normandy is steeped in history. There are many historical monuments and old villages and towns. The "Peace Memorial" in Caen or the Landingbeaches, many Abbeys, like Bec-Hellouin, the tapestry in the historical town of Bayeux. Friends of cultur can follow the tracks of Maupassant, Proust, Erik Satie, Eugene Boudin and all painters who were living in Normandy. Children might rather prefer the zoological garden or to climb trees. One never gets bored in the heart of Normandy.
