Normandy is through the mild climat, influenced by the channel, is the third biggest green region in France. Between the upper and the lower Normandy there are estimated to be 100 parcs and gardens –like the parc of Mezidon-Canon or the general nursery of Cambremer, specialized in fruit trees and herbaceous flowers– which can be visited and the number is increasing all the time. The majority are situated around castles and stately homes. Also horse breeding is of great importance because the ground is rich in minerals which benefit the horses.
